Newbie Here 2001 S8
Finally pulled the trigger on the 01 S8 we talked about a few weeks ago. Here are the details:
01 S8 silver 28K miles CPO through 2007.
Price.. $36995
All options except alcantara roof liner and seat inserts. not certain however if I have sport seats.
Picked up the car in Houston and drove to Colorado over the weekend.
Great car to spend 1100 miles with on the maiden drive.
Will give a more comprehensive update later this week.
.....Question for the group though: A rock decided to take out a foglight on the trip and was wondering if you have replaced the lights with ones from Clair parts (SP?) or get them directly from Audi. Also, Are there and Xenon aftermarket fog lamps out there that fit the bill?
Thanks in advance
Todd

The fogs are H7's. ...
I replaced mine with the PIAA Ion Crystal amber. IMHO, a very worthwhile visibility improvement in fog and rain compared to the original whiteish. The PIAA is much more yellow than they appear in the pic.
Changing the bulb is a 3 minute job -- Pop off the small plastic grill (two tabs on top), remove two screws, remove one electrical plug, and you're holding the assembly in your hand.

Yes they do have Xenon Fogs for your car. I have H7 Xenon HID in mine. They brighten up like daylight at night time. Many places on internet have them. Should be around 300-400.

Randy, the Lens to the light broke thus a bulb alone wont work. So I gather I will have to replace the entire assembly and not just the lens and that was my rationale for asking about replacements. Infact someone said that there was an HID variant available for us?
Thoughts appreciated
