Default non-retracting steering wheel
I've got all the right buttons pressed but the steering wheel will not retract or extend but it will move up and down, all electrically. Any one had similar problems and know of a fix? Is there a manual means of extending the column and then I can leave it there?

mine stopped working for a short period but then works again

Default have to ask ... is the "retract/extend" lock button pressed?
try pressing and/or depressing it, and starting the car. or perhaps check the fuse.

As banal said, it can stop working for a time. Does it work manually?

All the right buttons are pressed and the up down motor works, but not the in and out. Is there a manual method?

Yes, the square shaped **** on the side of the steering column. Move it up, down, forward, back.
