...

I currently have the bosch platinum 4s are also multi ground, and I do not care for them. The car is a bit lumpy running, ew. Noticed the same thing in a friends supra that tried the bosch plat 4s out for a DAY. I run NGK laser platinum (single ground) in my supras and am impressed. These were available for the A8 and can not be ordered any longer:/

What are we using fellow A8 ers?

Default Spark plugs

Dan,
From reading past posts I decided against the the Bosch +4s, and went with the NGK when replacing my plugs last summer. Seem to be working just fine.

Default I Just put a set of +4s in a couple of weeks ago...

And the car's running VERY well. The stock plugs were also quad electrode Bosch, although the electrodes were fatter-- the replacement +4s have finer (more like wire) drains. The originals (I assume) had 46K and looked pretty fair, although looked like they'd been running fairly lean. Now: silky smooth idle, instant starts. So far so great.

Default

I hear that the VW/Audis do not like any platinum plugs.

Default Based on my experience with the OEM Bosch plugs, if I had it to do over again,

I'd go with NGK. I had already bought a replacement set of Bosch plugs, so that's what went in. Lightly coated with anti-seize.

Default Well I refuse to use bosch, and NGKs are not available. So I purchased denso iridiums today.

Info soon.

Default It has been a few days, how did the denso iridiums work?

I'm very interested, it's time for me to get new plugs soon.

Ohh. Wonderfully. Definitely smoother idle, and throttle response seems to be a bit better.
