Default ok.. which VAG-COM to get ..
i'm gonna get one of these VAG-COM units for my laptop.. the question is.. should i get the tried and well used SERIAL port VAG or the NEW USB type VAG device??

thanks for any advice...

p.s.... i know i've been posting alot lately.. but that's a newbie fer ya!!! thanks for the advice and patience

I grabbed a serial, all of our laptops have serial ports so it should never be an issue.

Default not all laptops have serial ports ;-)
My IBM T40 doesn't have a 9 pin. The pc industry is slowly phasing it out. So I'd consider a HEX-USB

True... my Dell has to be in a docking station to pick up a serial port
