I'm taking the liberty of sharing this here since your D2-owner status implies that you're interested in having the very best #1 finest kind most sexalicious smack-daddy gear:

Apple announced the iPhone today, and it's brilliant (no, I don't work for them or own their stock -- though the latter may soon change). They waited a long time to bring this out because they wanted it to be perfect. It's awfully early to say, but it sure looks close: bombproof OSX (which means full Address Book, iCal, etc.), fantastic interface, brilliantly thought-out design in every respect (watch the little films on the site, link below -- if you're a digital gearhead, they're truly porntastic). Everything that makes the iPod the gold standard in music players and more is here.
I switched to Macs five years ago and wouldn't go back to Windows at gunpoint. The day this phone comes out, I'll say goodbye to my Palm Treo. I've loved my 180, my 650, and my 680, but the iPhone will be to everything else what the Treo has been: a better, more powerful tool. And it will be supported by a company that gets how important the relationship with the customer is. I predict that this will be the A8 (nay, S8!) of phones -- except with customer service by Lexus, not Audi. Ah, something else to live for...

che-zeck it out

Looks like a winner! I can't wait.
I switched to the Mac a couple of years ago too, but I still keep the PC laptop around for certain programs, like the Vag-Com. I know I've not taken full advantage of the Mac yet, I guess I need an 18 year old to help me learn to use some of the applications.

Or, if you only have five seconds...
...just bunch the name of all other cel phone companies with "Palm" in this chart, stand back, and watch the gap widen. Pardon my enthusiasm, but I love a quantum leap. I haven't been this hot for a product since I started reading about Audi's mighty A8...

It is, but there's a good reason for that. One cool feature they've added is...
...random access voice mail, which means that you see your voice mails in a list just like you see emails when you return to your computer, and you can listen to the ones you want, in the order you want, just like you read your emails. Pretty great feature, but it requires software engineering on both the phone end and the service provider end.
I'm sure they had to make an exclusive deal with someone for a period to get them to invest in the work on their end. Palm always introduces new Treos with one provider, too. No doubt everyone else will come on line over time.
