Parrot 3100CK -- how to push Phonebook?
First it wouldn't recognize my BB 7290. Luckily it does "see" my BB 7100g, so I'm pretty much set for dial reception, connectivity, and plug&play functionality.
What I can't seem to have luck with is pushing my BB Phonebook/Address Book down to the Parrot.
After several failed attempts seeking the Object Push functionality, I had no luck (a friend mentioned that in the UK it's a breeze but in the US the major phone companies don't license cell phones with OPBX unfunctionality so that we be forced to use their networks' and service offerings?!)
Then I turned to my laptopt. The idea is to establish a bluetooth conx with the Parrot and transfer my Contacts from Outlook down to the Parrot. So, I bought a bluetooth USB device and set it up. The laptop *seems* to recognize the Parrot, but I don't think that a connection is properly made (the Parrot would show the laptop as the 'paired device' on its screen, but going through Settings/Paired Devices shows that the laptop connection is not properly established)
I guess I need to delte the Parrot from the laptop's list and try all over again.
Anyone else has had similar issues or using different phones or other approaches? (Note that my 7100g is a company/Enterprise Server setup unit; I was thinking whether Outlook Express, rather than Outlook then, might be the PIM to push the contacts down to the Parrot..)

Check what version of software the Parrot has
You'll have to figure out what is the latest software version, then you'll have to update the parrot....
I've found that the 3100 pairs seamlessly with motorola phones, and other "plain phones", but it won't synch phone books with PDA phones....but that was a while ago.
One of my customers did use "object push" and got his HP PDA Phone to download.

Try searching this forum
