Default Planning install of HID's tomorrow...

So I purchased a pair of the Xentec 5000K HID's from the ebay link Tozo posted awhile back. I have just one question. I saw a couple of post stating that the factory ground might be an issue with the 35W Hid upgrade, is this true? If so can an alternate/extra ground be added? If so where is the best place to ground and which wire is the factory ground?
Thanks for all help, advice and comments!

Default No issues completing my HID install...

There should be no wiring modifications needed. Your ballast will literally plug right in where your now-defunct H1 bulb used to be. The ballast should have connectors like the ones pictured.

Hope this helps.

Default Re: No issues completing my HID install...

Once again sir you have come through! Mine looks the same as the one pictured. I will probably throw my voltmeter on it to make sure I have the 12V power right. As to the ground, I think it was Tozo who had issues with his instrument cluster going in an out after an HID install. Just thought I would ask and see if anyone else had problems with this. I will try to find some links.
Thanks again!

Here is the one I was reading into.

Default Do either of you find it necessary to use a wiring harness to bypass factroy wiring

and run the kit straight from the battery? I know many xenon retailers offer them, I'm contemplating whether I should use it for extra piece of mind.

Default HID = High Intensity Discharge. Xenon is the filler gas used to create the "Arc" that...

Gives off light.

The reason why we prefer to refer to them as "HID" is because this eliminates the confusion between "Xenon-filled" Halogen bulbs, and true HID bulbs.

There is a slew of "Xenon!!!" bulbs flooding the market that are nothing more than Halogen rice covered junk. Sure, they might be slightly brighter than your OEM halogens, but they are NOT to be confused with a ballast-based HID setup.
