Possible CV joint issue?
I'm the new owner of a 2002 A8L with 123k miles. As is always my luck, problems are now surfacing that I wasn't able to detect during my initial test drive before I bought the car.
Specifically, I've noticed a distinct vibration when I'm making a hard right turn while accelerating. The sensation is very similar (though not as pronounced) to the effect of "rumble strips" that are sometimes on the sides of highways to alert inattentive drivers.
This only happens when I'm accelerating in a sharp turn, maybe at around 15-30 mph. So far, I've only heard it on right-hand turns. Is this an issue with the CV joints, or is it more likely a bearing or wheel-related issue?
