Travel seems smooth, both up and down, but at the bottom, after retracting, it hits the stop and chatters loudly for about 4 or 5 seconds before shutting off. I have the unit unbolted and removed from its position, and it still does this when it's sitting on the floor. Doesn't seem to be hanging up on anything. No obvious broken parts.

What shuts off the motor? Are there limit switches that are supposed to turn off the motor at top and bottom of travel?

Its a timer that runs the motor for x seconds.
I cant remember where, but i found a guide on how to adjust the start and end point.
