priced too high?
I stoped by the dealer where I brought my car from today he's got a 2002 A8L one owner 56k immaculate condition he's asking $19K what do you guys think it should go for?

Definitely on the high end, but it isn't crazy high for a dealer's starting price...
...if it's truly immaculate. In your favor, it's a "big" V8 sitting on a dealer's lot in a $4/gallon environment. If you're in Florida, great; Coloradans or Minnesotans will show more interest in the car. And given the economy, it's a good time to be waving cash at someone who's sick of staring at inventory.
Depending on the dealer's situation, you might steal it at $15K if you walk away politely a time or two. $17K, surely, in this market. Who knows? If it's perfect, any way you cut it, that's a lot of car for not much money. It's an A8!
If you've got time and energy to shop, you can sometimes make the deal of deals, yeah. But I haven't heard of anyone yet who bought a nice used D2 and was kicking himself two years later for a paying $20K instead of $18.5K. Most guys that I know personally here who are enjoying their cars will tell you they paid a little high. I paid $152,500 for mine with 63,000 miles, but I really loved the color.

^^^ like he said ^^^
a) what else can you find that's at this level of luxury, style, options, with passive & active safety features, quality of engineering, that's also post-MY02 and costs <$19K? An Accord?
b) you shouldn't be trying to argue +/- $2k-3k for a top-of-the-line German luxury vehicle, otherwise perhaps this car is not for you. Purely from the perspective of having to deal with any service issues that may arise. These suckers are mini-black holes residing in your pants, with the ability to suck any currency denomination out of your pocket.
