Default Rather Irritating

I love my A8, but a simple feature I never thought I'd miss from driving even lower-budget Jap cars is.... a cruise control activated light.

Sheesh! What say you?

Default ^ I'm with him ^

Reminds me of my old civic. When the DRL lights were on the high-beam light would illuminate (albeit somewhat dim), as the DRL were in fact the high-beams at a lower V. Civic Nation!

I like the fact that the accelerator pedal is lowering itself out the way when turning cc on.

I know the CC is on because my foot is somewhere in the car instead of pressing on the gas-pedal ;-)

Default My jap car's CC light turns on

when you push the button to turn the cruise control system on, not when the cruise is actually set.

On the a8 you don't need to turn cruise on before you set your speed- just push the button as it's always ready.

It's just odd that a car of this caliber (part of the luxury segment, mind you), which has an indicator for low washer fluid, for example, doesn't have a simple CC light/reminder.

Default not just an indicator for low washer fluid ..... an animated one!

Actually, I wish it didn't have that stupid "parking lights on" indicator.

No - not odd / irritating... "GOOD". I'd disable it if it did. Like a cheap American car IMO, sorry.

That's my point -- one really has no need for a low washer fluid indicator; c'mon, you either have fluid or nothing at all when you pull the washer stalk. So if Audi decided to put a redundancy light for empty fluid, why not a CC light, or for that matter, stereo volume indicator (not even there on a Delta CC or the center info screen!).
