Removal of cell phone cradle - SOP?
 

hey all, is it standard operating procedure to remove the cell phone cradle from inside the arm rest of the passenger seat?

it serves no purpose and I'd rather have the extra storage.

if so, how is this done exactly?

Take the side covers off
 

Then you start taking it apart. I took the inside out, then taped up the holes that were left exposed so stuff wouldn't fall into it.<ul><li><a href="http://www.audipages.com/upgrades/armrest.html">Pictures with the side covers off here</a></li></ul>

and just finally did it leveraging your procedure. I didn't even break any of the plastic tabs holding the sides together. Talk about an over-engineered part in that phone cradle!
