Re: removing blinker housing
I made a long post a while back about replacing and/or servicing the blinker assembly. It's pretty easy though: you need to pry out the tabs, since they are a double-locking design you must exercise some care when doing this, but it's pretty straightforward. Once you pry off the first clip, the second one becomes visible. Just pry that one to the side and push the assembly forward. Once the assembly is pushed forward a few inches, it should be pretty easy to turn the connector socket and remove. To replace, simply reverse the process. Let me know how it works for you.

Re: removing blinker housing
thoroughly confused
Do I need any tools? screwdriver etc.
My point of ntry is I'm assumin though the hood.
Also when yo s pry off the tabs= justbend them enough to be able to slide it out
I appreciate the feedbck- just not very nclined in this area

Re: removing blinker housing
A screwdriver should do the trick. At the rear of the housing (inside the fender, yes - you need to open the hood) there is a clip - it is an off-white color. You need to release this clip in 2 stages as per my first post. Use a *powerful* light to get in there and see what you are doing. Since you say you're not mechanically inclined, examine everything carefully - I really can't be more specific without taking pictures, but the clip will be on the inside (closer to the engine than the fender).
