Replacement aluminum trim options?
Anyone either painted or replaced the faded aluminum trim on the exterior of the car? It can't be polished with the coating it has.

Isn't some of the "chrome" pieces a molded plastic of some sort painted chrome? I had always been lucky and was able to keep black beauty "under cover" ( parking garage, garage, etc ) for most of the 5 years I had him.

Yes, some are plastic. Washed the car and the front & rear fainted.. Couldn't
polish them since they're plastic and were "soaked in". Had the dealer replace them under warranty, but it's kind of pathetic for a $70k+ car...
