Default S8 Brakes

My brake pads are about worn out, so I need new pads (and likely rotors). Should I stick with the stock brakes from Riverside or should I look at aftermarket options? Any suggestions on where I should look? From searching here I have checked ecstuning, but they appear to only have the fronts. Also, I read the Ferrodo pads are an upgrade, but what about the rotors? Thanks

Chris

No plans to track the car. That's what the 951 is for! Any suggestions for rotors? Should I keep the rotors stock as well?

Default Get the Ferrodos. //Several here have 'em with no squaling issues. Dust yes butt...

the bit is incredible compared to stock. Rotors? Some have the Ferrodo's with stock some with slotted rotors. No complaints from the stockers. PKrasusky and TimD come to mind with this combo.

HTH,

Mark

Default Ah, 'there' is just the info I was looking for before opining. There was...

...no detail in your sig nor pic poster to glean any data from to form an informed suggestion - until now:

NINE FIVE ONE

Tells me you're a gamer. Gamers dig gamer pads. Ferodo DS2500 FTW! Like Mark said, I'm running with OE rotors (check my sig for gamerness 8-)). Life is me roadcourse, no need to 'track' it. The bite is phenomenal and addicitve.

Highly suggest a good bleed w/ some Super Blue or the like. And see if you can score a brake block for the strut bar to keep your MC from flexing. All said - a phenom combo - no small thanks to Randy here for all his determination and ground work jah.

Squeal FREE - after *liberal* use of brake goop on the pad edges, etc. Raceshopper.com IIRC.

Or go w/ slotted rotors ala ^Mark^, an uber nice combo. I was too cheap 8-).

HTH, good luck, report back.

Default Ferodo DS2500

Do the fronts now, but use them in the rear also when those pads are shot. I run slotted rotors front and rear, but the stock rotors are fine.

10 Pad Comparison

IIRC, the Ferodos don't come w/ the warning sensor, so you need to bypass.
