S8 Steering Damper

I need a steering damper for my 2001 S8. Any suggestions where I can buy one outside of the dealer?

2 questions:

Why do you need one?

Are you sure your car even has one?

...My '01 A8 doesn't have one. I thought they were discontinued on FL cars (2000 and up).

If you have one, it will be clearly visible in the passenger's side wheel well...there would be a 2 part tie rod boot (accordion), with the damper attached midway there and going back under the steering rack.
