S8 Wheels

Yes
That is correct. I waited weeks to get them from Vortrag, got lots of reasons why there was one delay after another only to be finally told in the end that one was bent when they received them, I never even got to see the set. I will not order from Vortrag again.

Re: Yes
There were tons of delays before I was finally told they were bent. I was told 3 weeks when I ordered, it took over two months to finally be told they were bent. In that time I could have gotten them somewhere else but because a trip was coming up I just had time to get BBS wheels from Tire Rack. It is not the fact that the wheels were bent that bothered me it is that nothing they told me happened and I was strung along for a long while.

Hey Bart...
As someone who was waiting for stuff other than S8 wheels at Christmas, just a couple comments:
* EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING, coming out of Germany was late. Some things by two weeks, some by four weeks. I waited five weeks longer than expected for a German product ordered two weeks before Christmas. Why? The Frankfurt airport - where every single piece of freight leaving Germany must pass through - was under a blanket antiterrorism security measure. Everything was opened, looked at, X-rayed, and whatever. And it took time.
* Euro parts are tough to get. I waited a LONG time for a set of Euro Ruf mirrors for the 993. How long is a long time? Long enough that they just got here, a week after I sold the car. I'd been waiting six months.
* Just be thankful that the S8 is on its way to import and you can buy one and get plates for it in twelve months...
Not meant to defend/offend anyone, but that's how it works sometimes.

Re: Yes
Wow, I didn't know that you never even got to *see* them! Yikes... but Cameron has a point about the delays - but if they weren't, they should have been clearer about how long it *could* take to get them.
