Saw first 2002 Infiniti Q45 on the road yesterday
The car was heading north on the 405 Fwy in L.A. The occupants were an elderly couple. The car looks bizarre from the front. Infiniti defintely took a chance with this design, but I think they missed the mark again. The Caddilac Deville DTS is the closest thing as far as the front end design goes. The profile is kind of nice with a curved roofline. The rear end is not that original. The taillights look a lot like the Audi A6 and the 2002 A4. I couldn't tell if this car had the 18" wheels, but the wheel/tire combo was way too narrow and set inwards. I didn't care for the exterior design. I think Lexus, MB, Audi and Jaguar are quite safe. The Q45 outperforms them all, but the looks will alienate many buyers in my opinion.

I tested it last week, it outperforms Lexas and even MBZ S500 imop. At $55k, I think it's the best value for the money by a long shot but I know I wouldn't be happy for long owning this car. Both exterior and interor are very dull and unattractive.
I am looking for a full size, reliable and dependable to replace my high repair and problematic bmw.
A8/S8??? Hate to say Audi has a substandard dealer and customer service comparing to other marques(a week or more appointement for service, no loaner but the cheapest rental etc.). Lexas is a safe bet but the car wallows and floats, the sport model is not yet available. Don't want another MBZ but MBZ treats and takes good care of its customers. Brought in my CLK for minor warranty works without appointement, was offered either a ML or E class for a loaner (got a new E with only 600 miles). Got the car back, washed and interior detailed. Impressive, make me want to change my mind for the S500.
It is my fun to shop for a new car. Any advice or experience with other marques is appreciated.

I'm sorry your dealer is so bad. My Audi dealer is great. I showed up last week without an appt. with my S8 and they got me right in. Only problem was they're loaner program is Enterprise Rent a Car. I got stuck with a compact. But I didn't ask if they had anything else either.

All,
I just purchased a 2002 Q45, I actually traded in a 98 BMW 740IL... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the new Q... Nothing on the road has come close to catching me... I haven't came across an Audi yet, but I am alway's looking for a challenge. The new Q does not feel like it handles as good in a corner as the 740, but maybe that is because the steering dosen't tighten up as much as the BMW. It does hang the corners though. I am still getting use to the car. I will post more latter
