Default Service Light Reset

I recently did an oil change and for the life of me and my dry search results, is there any way the owner can reset the service light without the need of RossTech? I tried numerous instructions with no avail...Any help in the right direction will be greatly appreciated!

I'm not handy to my car but I think I have done this procedure and recall it working. I can try it later today:
--it did not work and the owners manual says the dealer has to reset the interval--

Having the cheap/free version of VCDS or an alternative is handy, or maybe there is someone in your area who can help out if you check other VW/Audi forums.
There is also something called OBD Eleven

I have an OBDII BT Reader and Torque Lite app on the phone, but you cannot reset the service light, but can clear and read CEL codes...unless the pay version of Torque enables the user to do more, I'm not sure I'll get another OBDII reader...thank you for the suggestion as it re-opened my mind about them...

Does anyone know if the pay version of Torque enables one to reset the service lights?! Thanks in advance and happy Friday!

I have the paid version of torque that works on every other car that I work on except for my own so I can't speak from experience.

I have written the developers of the torque app with no success they have not written back in over a few weeks. I really like the torque app but it also thinks that a Hyundai that I own is a diesel for some reason I might have to find a new OBD application for my needs and services, open to suggestions, not just for VAG cars. Does OBDeleven work on all makes?

I have somebody that lives down the street from my work that has a copy of VCDS / rosstech I'm going to have to go visit soon.

I just tried this and it worked! I thought there was a way to do this w/o VCDS but could not recall or find the procedure. Thanks!
