BlauParts D2 Front Brake Kit
Hey D2 Owners,
I have around 20% remaining on my front brake pads. When I replace the pads I'll need to replace the rotors, as well. My D2 is my daily driver so quiet braking is my #1 priority.
Has anybody every purchased the Audi Brake Rotor Disc Kit - Front from Blau?
Thoughts or user reviews on the BlauParts brake kit would be appreciated.

you have two options, use akebono pads and quality rotors. or upgrade your brakes now to the d3 360mm rotors and calipers which you will never regret.

this seller has both calipers listed at $80 each. not a bad price.

Hawk ceramic pads should give you low dust and noise.
Rotors are up to you, but nothing wrong with stock ventilated items.
Adams rotors are reasonable value and offer cross drilled and slotted options.

Actually my S8 has 345mm OD Rotors with Brembos. While the larger rotors and calipers are a good idea, they're not an option for me.
I'm looking at standard vented rotors. Trying to keep costs down so nothing to fancy : )

2001_S8's 2001 S8 should already have 360mm rotors with 6 pot Brembos...

The D3 A8 was the 1st to use 360mm front rotors.

I had assumed rightly or wrongly that Australian delivered S8's all came fully optioned and that in 2001 360mm rotors became an option. So assumed my car had 360mm rotors...
So I measured them today:
And the winner is 345mm!!
And Sam was also correct - the Brembos are 4 piston, not 6...
I'm a little disappointed to be honest, but the brakes are still fantastic and at least I now know for sure!
