I was at the dealer a couple of weeks ago, and the lot manager (who knows me, helped haul me around when I was doing the deal on the A8) calls me over and says, "hey, we just put some of these new style A6 wiper arms on an A8, they're really cool looking, you should do it to your car."

So I looked at the A6 that was in the showroom, I liked the look, one of my Audi blades had a broken deflector, so I said, What the heck! and ordered a set.

I have some pictures of the installed wipers, but its black wipers on a black windshield, and you can't see much. Here are a couple pictures of the arms and blades, one with one of the old ones for comparison.

Check them out on a new A6 at the dealer. The driver side one is *real* tight on clearance to the hood (~1-2mm), but it works.

Cost? How well do they function at high speed? It is a neat design...

$134 including tax.

Supposedly, they work very well at speed, but haven't tested it yet. They tried it at the dealer because they had an A8 customer who was complaining about poor wiper performance. That's how they found it would work, and supposedly it solved the problem.

It's supposed to rain again Mon or Tues; I'll post an update on performance to this thread.

what size are those wipe blades?

I just came across your post for the wiper blade upgrade that you did couple of months ago. Just wondering if you could tell me the right size for the factory 97 A8 wiper blades. I want to change mine, and wondering what size to go with. my car is in the shop and I can't get the measuremnents. the wiper blades I want to get come in 18 inch to 22"

whats is the right size to go with?
