Default So, as promised, I drove out to Motodyne this afternoon in a "surprise" visit

of course, they were closed (I got there around 4:30pm) but:

1) the shop is in a industrial park on the edges of the pinelands in NJ..it was really easy to get two. You have to be a blind bat to miss it.

2) from OUTSIDE appearances, my bull**** detector went to level 7.5 on a one-to-ten scale (1=honest, 10=bunch of f'n theives who need to do HARD time in a PMITA federal prison), only a PORSCHE banner, and a couple of computers up front...no parts, no couch for customers, no photos of their products on their walls...NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

COMPARED THIS to my first visit to AWEn (when they were off of Germantown ave in Philly), AWE had TONS of material in the front office. Oh, next door to MOTODYNE was another tuner shop called "RX4 performance" specializing in DSM eclipse/eagle talons, they had more stuff visible than Motodyne.

BEHIND the shop, RX4 (which was open, btw) had at least 8 cars in various stages..from fully custom, to bare frame DSM's, AWE in Philly had several cars out front, and in the garage.

MOTODYNE had ONE passat with NO plates blocking their garage door. No other VAG products visible UNLESS they were in the garage area.

I'll pay another SURPRISE visit the next day I have off (which will be in three weeks) EARLIER in the day, but from what little I saw...STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as promised

Default FINALLY someone on this board delivers on a promise

If you have a car that fits a supercharger application, I'll try to see if Rob can hook you up, knowing you are somebody who actually does what he says he's going to do. I'm sure he'll be glad to meet the first AW member after this long feud. Maybe you can explain your insistance to others to "STAY AWAY!"

So you arrived at 4:30 on a holiday, and nobody was there to accomodate you. Did you try their other building down the street? That one has all the junk cars out back. If you had expensive Porsches, wouldn't you want to keep it inside? I guess you aren't from the city...notice their cheapest car was blocking the door ("blocker car")?

The building is brand new and as you'll see from the pictures is not even finished yet. RX4Speed has been established in their location for a longer time. I know you think you'll be the guy who's going to prove whatever, but hanging pictures and putting in a sofa does not equate to much of anything in this type of business. It's not a dentist's office. I'm guessing a Playstation 2 will be instrumental in public opinion? Not ability or talent, just a nice sofa and game box.

I'm going to recommend to Rob that he leave all his forced air induction systems out in the front parking lot for customer convenience, and when someone wants one they can just take it and slip a check under the door on good faith.

For someone who seems interested in getting customers, you sure act like an ***.

Default Dyno run across the river..how about it??

dyno run at AWE, I'll pay for it.

name date and time....if I can't make it, I'll bet someone will be glad to stand in my place.

Only restrictions....you must allow the dyno run to be photograph by me or someone else, and the car can not be trailered to the shop, must be driven from NJ.

Default So was the supercharged S8 intercooled?

If not, it wouldn't be worth its scrap weight....if so, what is the cooling mechanism?

I don't think you could get the 440 HP out of it unless it was a cold day!
