Default steering rack differences
Hi! anybody here knows if the steering racks with servotronic are the same on pre-fl and fl models
Mine started to leak after a servotronic module failure and someone with a facelift is selling me a complete remanufactured unit with the servotronic for a reasonable 350$...
just scared that something is different between my 4.2 98 and his 4.2 2000

Hey Louis, according to my D2 A/S8 parts manual they don't have the same part number so the answer looks be no. I also did a quick cross reference on FCP Euro and it shows the "GX" is for 2000 - 2003 only.

Thanks! I called the dealership this morning and they want 3049$... looks like i will be searching for a used one!

In my experience shokan is overpriced, and you're getting a used part. better off with jorgen IMO.
