Default Checking into Euro-Sport S8 setup

I've email 3 vendors (bennett, hoppen, autobahn-perf) inquiring about this setup for prices and availability. Anyone else interested in this setup? We might be able to get group prices.

Default Re: I really don't know what you are talking about

You're in Montreal if I'm not mistaken.
Do you have issues with clearance in the snow?

If I make my way to ya, how do you feel about taking my ride for a spin and making some recommendations. I haven't had her for long, nor do I know if she is running up to snuff since she is by far the most bitchen ride I've had. A less then perfect A8 still kicks!

You're the expert!!!! I'd love to know if she's performing as she should.

Default Try raising them a little. I had H&R coilovers on my A4 and they were choppy when set too low.

I think the shocks get outside of their operating range when it's set too low. Try setting the height somewhere in the middle of the thread range and see if it doesn't mellow out.

Also once I had them corner balanced the ride got perceptibly better, no more hobby horsing.

Default I run Eibach springs with stock shocks

and the ride is just right with that lowered look. I am happy with that combo.. not harsh at all and still handles well and looks good. I am also running 18' wheels

Default Hard for me to explain, it makes sense in my head but I might not be able to convey it.

I think the best way it's ever been explained to me was take a chair with four equal weight legs and then chop 1/4 off one of them. The chair will rock back and forth with weight transfer.

So what they do is put scales under all four wheels and adjust the heights of the coilovers at all four wheels so that the weight distribution is back to normal.

A lot of people consider corner balancing unnecessary for street coilover applications, but in my case it smoothed out the ride a ton and improved the handling balance substantially. ONly cost me $160 with an alignment at a local race shop so for me it was worth it.
