Default Local Audi club chapter can help you out, if they're tracking a lot they've been corner balanced.

Higher end alignment shops will have corner balance scales too.

But I wouldn't go through much trouble if you don't like the ride quality.

Default Not a big fan of Bilstein sports anymore. Does Koni make a shock to fit?

I used to use Bilstein sports in all my BMWs, and they handle great but are hard as rocks. Koni's are at least adjustable, anybody know if they make a damper for the A8?

Agreed, just like anything, you'll probably get use to them.

Default The guy I bought my H&Rs from had replaced them with S8 bits.

Said he's only used them for around 5000 miles, and I believe him. His driveway was such that he couldn't deal with the lowering on the H&Rs. And the A8 was just his daily driver, he had an M5 for weekends. . .

Default Some spring rate data for comparison ...

in lb/in

................... Front ..... Rear
stock A8 ....... 280 ....... 250
stock S8 ....... 390 ....... 350
Hohenester ... 400 ....... 360-500 (various rear springs available)

I believe Hohenester uses Intrax springs, and I assume that an H&R set-up is somewhat stiffer than the S8.

Default Sounds plausible ...

I briefly drove Paul's A8 with H&R's, and it seemed only slightly stiffer than my S8.
