Is there a way to remove the speed limiter, short of using a chip?
Gonna be driving accross the country next week, from West to East coast, and for once, I'd like to be able to take the car to full speed in the long long long stretch...
Short of using a Chip, is there a way to remove the speed limiter on a 2001 A8L ?

Lemmiwinks but I dont know how to use it
I would figure that you need a VAG cable or something.
I have the application but have not used it.
I guess you can also tweak fuel and timing settings , but i dont know how far i would go with this.

Additional information
Here's one <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a8/msgs/89624.phtml">Earlier Post</a>, a search will turn up others. You can get the software from <a href="http://dtwaudi.com/cms_view_article.php?aid=10&sid=0b4f4054402bc026c1 ebf109a8f9fff5">Lemmiwinks Explained</a>. Caution is advised ... this is a powerful program, and it gives you the ability to damage your motor.

The cable has to be serial
If it is the USB cable version, you need to use a converter/emulator. The archives have postings about this if you search.
