Tie Rods....

Tie Rods....
I was just told my right tie rod needs to be replaced.
My question are:
How much should this repair cost?
Should I replace the left side as well?
What else "needs? to be done at this time?
Also, pads and rotors need to be done. WHat should this cost?
I have absolutley no ability to do this myself and am sending it to a very reputable independent shop.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Tie Rods....
I am getting my tie rod ends replaced(both) and also rotors and pads at $100.00 total.
But, after tie rod ends are replaced, you will need Quattro alignment, which my local Audi dealer is charging $180.00

Tie Rods - get both sides done
Probably .75 to 1.0 hour each side. If they are frozen, they are a real PITA. A new tie rod end set on ebay is about $70 for both sides.
You will need an alignment done aftwards.
Pads and rotors are not cheap, and an Audi dealer charges something like 3-4 hours total for replacing them.
If you go to audipages, the procedure is very, very simple.
