Re: Holy COW! Just got a call from Audi of Rockville...flying in a team of
German Engineers? Most likely from the Port of Houston, hopefully they finish preppping my car before they leave...LOL. If this is what happens when you reort something the dealer can't handle I must say that I'm impressed. Maybe Audi really is trying to make the leep to Teir One, eh?

Re: No, it's the steering when going from right to sharp-hard
Dinan, is this dealership not givinhg you the responses that you deserve or are they in over their heads with this car, which I suspect ALL Audi dealers are?

I'm not pleased at all on how I am being treated overall
with the sales experience up to this point. My dealership will not do ANYTHING to accomodate me at all. Audi of America is even more useless than the dealership. Why even have a customer service AoA line when they know there is nothing they can or will do about a situation. It is so sad that I have to buy a $80K car and it is "broken" from day one and I have to work around their time table...pathetic. At least I have a Lexus to look forward to I guess (in regards to customer service).

New car. New infrastructure when it comes to knowledge.
Most folks who have owned Audis in the past, would be pretty happy to get a same brand loaner - no matter the model;-) I know you expect something else, but most dealerships just don't have the resources - people or cars.
Lexus dealers make $4 to 10K per deal when all is said and done ( headquarters also has final say on who gets hired via a video interview ). BMW dealers aren't far behind. Audi dealers make $2K per deal on average - and many sell VW too, which doesn't help. Just not much fat to spread around.
If you can, cozy up to the service manager. Remember that the carrot always works better than the stick ;-) If they haven't asked that a zone rep come and check out the car, it might be an option to get some idea sooner, although you may still be wise to have the Germans look at it.
Not really an excuse for how things are going, but at least it gives you an idea of where the dealer is coming from.

Dinan, I am not happy to see what you are going through with car. Is it a dealership thing, an Audi thing or both? I personally believe that the dealerships are in over their heads with this car and cannot support the factory. They have to follow the lead of Audi so they are always behind. Please keep us posted. Best of luck
