Transgo pressure regulator upgrade
Hi again all.
l apologies in advance if this seems like an unnecessary start of a new thread but it's a much more specific question than my previous 5hp24 preventative maintenance question. I thus thought it deserves a new thread, to keep things tidy.
Question
I am considering fitting the Transgo pressure regulator valve to a brand new lower front valve casting to then fit to my 2002 Audi S8 d2.
I know this upgrade has been done many times by owners of cars with the 5hp24 gearbox but I don't seem to be able to find any posts that testify to the long term durability of this upgrade.
Are there any users out there who have done moonship mileage over a good number of years with this valve fitted? I am trying to establish it's longevity.
Thanks Frank

Maybe you mean OCLES in Reno? Used to post here, maybe no longer in operation. I recall they were into the reamed-out and oversized valve replacement for the used transmissions they sold.
