Default Transmission

I have an Audi A6 Quatro. I had the front Axle Assemblies replaced. I was told car was left jacked up and fluid had drained out. I had transmission serviced and now 1st gear is slow to shift, all other gears work fine. Some have told me my transmission may be in safe mode and it needs reset back to normal operation with the use of something called Vag-com software.

Ok, wrong board, try the A6 forum, I would interested to know how the tranny drained when you were getting the front axles done ...

Heh yeah. It also could be way underfilled if it was filled by someone who did not know the procedure. And filled with what? That'd be interesting to know. But the A6 forum for your year would be a better starting point.
