Gentlemen, I was cleaning my car wheels this morning and I wondered what it would be like having 2 factory original 18' rims on the rear wheels of my A8 and leaving the factory original 17' rims in front? This is inplace of lowering the car. Share your thoughts.

it should work, but the rear tires will be much wider than the fronts which will aggravate understeer.

Do you mean like having 225s on the 17s in front and 235s on the rear 18s?

Both the diameter and width of the 245/50-17 and 245/45-18 are identical and would be no problem at all.<ul><li><a href="http://www.audipages.com/upgrades/tiresizeoptions.html">A8/S8 Tire Options</a></li></ul>

Wow, those are wide widths. Would those fit comfortably into the wheel wells without rubbing against the walls when one makes turns?
