Wet Feet? Help!

I have a '98 A8 w/70,000 miles and have recently been getting soaked by streams of water on both driver and passenger sides. Water appears to be coming from floor vents..particularly after rain.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this since the car leaks fluids from every other conceivable location.

Have the drainage passages been kept clear? Leaves and gunk can block

many cars drainage passages, causing water to enter the car. Most often you can use compressed air to blow it out.

Other things could be a leak in the windsheild gasket, or heater core.

Someone recently had this problem

I can't remember who it was, but it is a drain line that is clogged. As I recalled, the guy brought it back four times before it was cleared up.

Search the archives and I'm sure you'll find it, look for "HVAC, drain lines, wet" something like that.

If you have a digital camera, please take pictures of where the problem was so we can make a record of it.

Good luck, if you need more help, ask and I'm sure one of us can look it up.
