Default What OS does the '04 A8L use ?
Anyone have any idea what OS the MMI system uses ?
with the unpredictable and freaky performance of the MMI and poor engineering and integration of the actual functions, I'm begining to really wonder where this software and integration came from. Could it be Redmond, WA ?

It's not MSFT... I asked the head of their Auto software group... he said they supply many other cars... not Audi.

Default Windows is behind the iDrive in BMW's, but not part of Audi MMI
which is, if I recall, a proprietary Siemens (?) OS.

I thought it was Mac OS 7.5 bug version with extension conflicts

Only happens AFTER you hit the tree at 95 MPH! Airbag doesn't protect MMI.
