Just wondering

My impression is very substantial discounts are still available on the last of the 99's. Worth considering?

I drove a 2000 and liked it immensely.

1) New 310 hp 40-valve engine with 302 lb-ft torque (old engine is 32-valve with 300 hp and 295 lb-ft torque available at a higher rpm).

2) New door handles (similar ro A4 and A6)
3) New headlights, front grille, and chrome surround below the front bumper
4) Added beltline chrome on the outside
5) Revised interior with new center console, in-dash CD, and color-coordinated dash
6) Audio controls on the steering wheel
7) Option of navigation system
8) Additional use of aluminum in the suspension for reduced weight and improved ride
9) New seats

All in all, the changes are rather subtle, but the 2000 model is definitely superior. I find the interior of the pre-2000 models a bit dated.
