What are the stock tires on a 2001 A8?
My dad just picked up his A8 last week and I am curious if it comes with all season tires or summer performance tires.
He is a few states away, so I can't go look at the car just yet...

The stock 16 and 17" wheels come with all-season tires. My 2001 A8L came with 18" wheels that come with summer performance tires. I live in Connecticut and we get plenty of snow and I have had no problems using the performance tires Bridgestone RE040 with several inches of snow. My S4 also has performance tires (Pirelli 5000) and they too work fine in the snow.
My 2000 A8L had come with the Dunlop Sp8000 and these too worked well in snow.
AWD is the trick.
