Wheel Spacers
I was wondering if it is possible to add wheel spacers to the D2 without rubbing. I have the 16" wheels on my car now but plan to go to 18" in the future. Will wider wheels (ie 8.5") cause the wheels to stick out too much with the spacers or is the added width on the inside only? What size spacers should I go with 8mm or 15mm? THanks.

With new wheels, just go with a ET 35 wheel, no spacers required
It really improves the look, is equivilant to a 13 mm spacer, but non required. No rubbing problems.

Paul, what does the ET designation mean? Offset?
if there's a forumula or secret decoder ring, pls let me know, just bought another car, and it calls out et30, et35, and et40 wheels, would like to know what it means.
Tnx.. Greg

ET does mean offset, it's the distance in mm between the wheel's centerline and flange face. Lower numbers move the wheel out, but to exactly where also depends on the wheel width.

Wheel Offset Calculator
