Default Where can I buy a repair manual PDF?

So i just tried a website that looking back I probably shouldn't have. I just need quick access fo the repair manual and preferably a PDF download from a trustworthy site.

Best price here ... this will not work "directly" on most recent computers, BUT as soon as you buy this (and register) you will have access to all the info online on Bentley's website >>>

Hey, I was wondering about this... I have a copy of Bentley I paid big bux for years ago, but have no machines running XP SP2(is that the last they supported?) anymore. I was looking at running one of the emulators on my Linux box but figured that would be a major PITA. But is all the content available on the web portal if I log in? I guess that's obvious, but it never occurred to me as I sit here looking at my CD-DVD-ROM from years ago and my updated PCs.

Thanks!
tom

Yep, Bentley added the online version years ago for legal owners of the DVD, rather than rewrite all the software to be compatible beyond windows vista ... always works perfectly for me.

At worst, if you don't get the service (when you log in, it should show that you have a "subscription"), you may need to call Bentley to get it turned on ...very nice people, but they only answer the phone on weekdays.

Hey, that's awesome. I know my account is still valid, as I was logged in recently looking for hints on an OS to run it on.
Thanks again!

Be forewarned, though, your online subscription with Bentley Publishers is only valid for two years. After two years, your online subscription expires.

Anyone have experience with "Factory Manuals"? They claim to be the only site that offers a legal PDF download of factory repair manuals.
https://www.factory-manuals.com/expa...anual-241.html
$70 for a given model year. They don't show the 2003 S8 (what I have). They imply the S8 is included in the A8 manuals, but I'd have to get the 2002 manual.

The Bentley DVD requires Windows XP, which hasn't been updated since 2004, and their online system for Audi/VW is in a beta relaunch.
eBahn - What is it?

A bit hard for me to believe that Bentley Publishing would require use of an OS that hasn't been updated for 14 years, with all the concerns about online security. That seems like a callous disregard for customers.

I purchased the $70 pdf manual from factory-manuals.com (5673 total pages). It's supposedly tailored to your VIN. Seems to be comprehensive and complete, haven't found any area yet that's incomplete or missing

I am not sure if this works for US residents, too:
https://erwin.audi.com/erwin/showSearchArticle.do (Model-specific information - Information in PDF format)
https://erwin.audi.com/erwin/showCus...egistration.do
https://erwin.audi.com/erwin/showOrd...teAssistant.do
You can order an 1-hour flat-rate for 7 EUR + VAT there and download all the official Audi workshop manuals as PDF files. Including the circuit diagrams, it's over 50 PDF documents for the Audi A8 D2.
