I got this code 00562 - sensor for oil level/temperature (G266). I would like to replace this sensor and need to know where it's located.

On my 40v D2 it's on the bottom of the oil pan. One of mine has either failed or the wiring has, my Oil Level nag is on all the time now in my old 2001 189K A8.
I read that aftermarket ones were no bueno. Please let me know what you find out.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll change it out when I do the next oil change. Part # 1J0907660B yeah I try to use only OEM but I think this Hella sensor will be ok....

Hella IS the OE manufacturer for the oil level sensor.

And $63 from Amazon right now. I just changed mine out about 4 months ago.
