Wil these rims fit the S8?

I just found out from a friend that deffinetely they do not fit the B5 S4....
Which makes me think that they shouldn't fit the S8 either....? Or my logic is wrong?

It all depends on the back of the spokes clearing the calipers. ET45 is usually...
enough for the D2. The 6-spoke S8 wheels are ET48. However, the S8 wheels are 8J wide and your's are 7,5J.
I'm starting to have doubts to be honest...
The only exception to the "8J ET45 wheels are okay rule" are the 9-spoke RS4 wheels in 8J. They need to be ET43 or lower because the back of the spokes protrude more inwards than the lower part of the spokes on the 6-spoke S8 wheels and will hit the calipers if ET > 43.
