Default Windshield Washer Pump

Ok, so my windshield washer nozzles haven't worked since I bought the car. I need to get them fixed for winter freeway driving. So I know from searching around a bit that there are two pumps, I know the headlight nozzles raise and spray so that pump is good. Haven't noticed a leak so I am guessing that the windshield pump isn't cracked but maybe just bad. So where is the best place to get one? (with the new o-ring) I saw germanautoparts.com has one from around 35, but is it an exact fit? (ie. clips into the Audi harness?)
Any options or advice would be great!
Thanks a lot!

check the FAQ section, I posted there. I got mine at the dealer for around $65 I believe.

Default I actually started my search with your write up!

I read though your write up I was just wondering if there were any better deals anyone knew of that would fit correctly. If it is a dealer only item then so be it but I figured I would check. Thanks for responding A8CT!

Default I've repaired mine

I removed the pump and then opened up the bottom, forgive me as it has been some time so the details may be sketchy. I found that where the impellers were, there was gunk (dirt). I cleaned it out, put it back together again and Voila, it worked. Maybe your pump has the same issue.

Did you check if one of the tubes is disconnected under the cowl?

Default Ok, I will check that out!

I haven't yet checked for clogs in the system, that is next step. I just wanted to see what the options were for pump replacement other than the stealer, but so far that looks like the answer. Does any one have the procedure for Headlight removal? (can't find my Elsa Win CD )
Thanks again for responding!

If you have the separate windshield washer pump, as indicated by your headlight washers functioning, I believe you can use the non-heavy-duty pump Autohauseaz lists for about $17. It's part # 4A0955651B
