this is an s8 on ebay for 74k right now look the no wood insert for the window controls. My 2001 S8, built in may doesn't have the wood on the doors inserts near the switch gear. I've grown to like it like this. My A8 had the wood and I sometimes I experienced glair. I suspect the glair would be worse on the S8 because the wood is a lighter color.

I'm also experiencing the much talked about S8 brake squeel. It does it most during flash rust conditions and only in reverse. I can live with this... the S8 brakes are great.

I wouldn't say it's a problem. The US version of the vehicle does not come with the door inserts. Personal preference....I like it that way.

Those wheels really fit the car. Sweet.
