Well, Monday's come and gone and the MMI screen issue in my new 05 didn't get fixed despite direct discussions with Audi technicians in Germany. They now point their finger at the navigation DVD as the culprit. A new one's to arrive tomorrow so we'll see. The explanation I was given is that the DVD that arrived for my car from the navigation software supplier had a "4" in the middle of its part number but should have had a "5" instead. Seems to me that if you take out the old DVD and start up the car and MMI without it installed, the MMI should work fine. The service technician at the dealership hadn't tried it yet. Stay tuned.
