To all those who were kind enough to respond to my dilemma, T'is with a red face that I say there was a second key FOB under the drivers seat. The dealer neglected to tell
me that or perhaps he didn't know. I am pleased to report, with the key fobs in the house the Audi tells me "no key identified" and won't start. Hooray!!
