I have a 2007 A8L (4.2) that is making this clicking noise. Someone told me it's the cam tensioner going, while others have said it's just noisy lifters. I was hoping a member here has experienced this noise and would be able to help out.

Tried to find a video on youtube how an engine in good working order should sound like for comparison.

I changed oil/oil filter last week but still sounds same. New oil is Total brand 0W40 502.00

No. That's just normal sound coming from that truck on the street. Audi engine is not even running until the end of the video.

damn that's embarrassing. sorry, should have watched the whole video. I was thinking after maybe it's a TDI lol
