Very nice. Subtle and classy.
Would be good to see with a tire on - sometimes they look different, at least to me.

Yes. Anything but black.
Unless you plan to smoke your lights, make vehicle 1/8" off ground, add fart can and wing

Not quite sure, I'm with Jake, I'd like to see it with tires and maybe mounted on a car. I think Vosson wheels are hit/miss depending on the application.

Nice, clean design. I like that matte or satin black more than a gloss black, too.

I think "titanium color" would look better, it's hard to pull off a all black wheel on some cars.

MP4.2+6.0 11-14-2013 10:13 AM

Has possibilities

As you probably remember I'm more of an OE wheel guy, but maybe. W/ 10 spokes arguably its better than a nine spoker that was first gen RS6 look; there's a certain symmetry visually w/ the lug bolt holes. It reminds me vaguely of some Q7 or D4 10+ spokers, even though those are twin spoked. Visually it probably works too once you throw in the A8 brake set up, which I think looks decent in general--with a pretty open design wheel like this you are going to see them.

Color wise, agree w/ your first instinct that maybe toward titanium (lighter) is better. I don't recall your car color, but mine all the way to brilliant black I think looks better with a smoked (or two tone) type look than anything darker. To me the very dark look looks too aftermarket or modded, even in what would be a stock wheel otherwise.

Last, technically I get the 9 ½, but optimally wouldn't you prefer more like at least an ET35-40 if you could get it? It just feels like you would end up spacing these with the combo of ET45 and 9 ½'s. Said another way, I think there is more free space (both clearance wise up front w/ the upper suspension arm) and aesthetically to be moving outward than inward. It depends some on the tire too, but if anything I'm guessing you would be looking at more width than a stock 255 in 19's, and IIRC you are already wider than that now. You know this wheel + tire math, so just a reminder to confirm it against both clearances and how aggressive a look you want.

Now I have 18x9.5 ET45 with 285/40x18 tires. No problem with suspension. I have tried them with 8mm spacers and they look better with them on rear wheels and worst on front. So ET37 at the front stick to far out for my taste. I can always use them at the rear.

My problem now are S8 brakes. 18's I have won't fit on the front calipers. Right now I am going to switch to winter tires 255/45x19 on factory turbines, but soon I will switch back to summer rubber and my plan is 19x9.5 ET45 with 285/40x19 DW's. they are same diameter as winters I use and same width as summers that won't fit anymore. I know that they are a bit larger but filling wheel well more actually looks better in my opinion.

Color wise, 18's I have now are silver, but after a few days they are more like titanium since I prefer OEM brake pads. So I will go for titanium masking that dust a bit. I don't like black wheels. This ones are a touch better because of mate finishing and that machined edge that at least separate them from the tire.

Main reason I asked for opinions is a possibility for a group buy. Price would be extremely low on 10+ sets.

I think I want these from ECS, but don't want to be the test pilot. Anyone else plan to get them.

I like them, for the most part...

I looked at some very similar wheels a while ago, but never pulled the trigger (got distracted by other projects )

I looked at a satin silver type of color that matched my silver paint. Gunmetal, and darker, is too much for my liking on the silver car. Along the same lines jakematic mentioned.

I also have to agree with MP4.2+6.0 about the symmetry of a 10 spoke. I know it may be a little too small a detail for some, but I can relate. It would bother me every time I looked at them.

In general, I think you're onto something good here. They're sharp, clean, understated, and classy looking. Go for it! I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.
