20,000 Euros
Is the starting price for MOST development, that gets you some simulation kit, software and licence for MOST NetServices API for evaluation purposes. PC not included.
Commercial distribution requires MOST Cooperation memebership and a platform (one vehicle model) or system (one aftermarket product) licence, both of which are POA (expensive).
Of course, you need something to prototype your design on, the PCI and PC Card boards are also POA. I have a suspicion that the PC interfaces are so powerful and flexible that deployment of a commercial solution will be put out of financial reach - one in-car PC with a PCI card and a suite of custom-written software could provide MP3 library, video library, car control and monitoring, automatic telephony/internet/integrated services and whole host of other things that would likely kill the market stone dead for half a dozen hardware solutions. I'll bet that Oasis / MOST Cooperation want to protect their market by ensuring hardware vendors don't get blown out.
"Community" MOST projects look like being a ways off yet.
On the bright side, the specs mean it's entirely possible for things like reversing cameras, in-car internet, remote fault diagnosis, MP3 libraries, video servers, gaming consoles, realtime traffic monitors and the like to be easily and seamlessly integrated, once the multi-billion dollar companies got off their bloated backsides and stop peddling yesterday's technology and actually design some of the products...

A lot of the specifications are public but not open, you have to licence the development kit
Try these links: <a href="http://www.oasis.de/">http://www.oasis.de/</a>
<a href="http://www.mostcooperation.com/">http://www.mostcooperation.com/</a>
Dig about and you'll find lots of PDFs and some very interesting code samples for the PCI board.
