2001 A8L moonroof sunshade malfunction
my sunshade has begun to stay in the open mode and does not come back out with the moonroof when the moonroof is closed. i noticed two square rubber blocks with nipples on top of the sun shade when i pulled it back out--presumably these are stops that somehow bring the sunshade back out along with the closing of the moon roof---where do they go? what's my fix?
cheers!

Re: I thought the shade stayed open and you pull it by hand after glass closes...
you do pull it fully closed by hand, but when the moonroof closes the shade comes out from it's (in-roof) cubby about 6 inches--up to the back of the small sun louvres--THE problem is the sun shade does not eject along with the moonroof to this position any longer IT STAYS FULLY PARKED DEEP IN THE ROOF LINER---it can be pulled out by hand--but that's not how it's supposed to work--and i believe the fix has something to do with replacing the two rubber pads somewhere on the moonroof about three quarters of the way down so that it pulls the sun shade back out with it to about 6 inches or so --- do they attach to the back of the moon roof? along the sides? somewehre three quarters down? it looks like the rubber pads had either some glue or adhesive on them? do they attach to the sunshade itself somewhere?
