2006 A8 VAG-COM Question
I am confused about the VAG-COM recode options regarding Headlights in 2006 A8s. What is changed when the `Land Selection' option is changed from USA (3) to Rest of World (1)?
Are there any other recode options involving the headlights or taillights? I seem to remember reading something about switching from red to amber LEDs.

On the 2006's and all W12's, the land selection only changes the operation of the parking lamps (enables the left or right side to be operated with the ignition off). Fog lamps with city lamps is activated from the factory.
There will be an update to the coding options, but it won't change the tail light operation as the circuit boards are SAE only. RoW units are necessisary to have amber turn signals and proper brake light illumination.
