2007 a8 suspension relay location
Hello everyone, I have an a8 with a suspension that doesn't move anymore. I'm stuck in dynamic mode. I'd like to check the fuse and change the relay before I drop $600 on a new compressor. Where is the relay?

I've checked under the steering wheel, and removed the one screw under there but was unable gain access. I don't want to destroy anything, how do I remove everything to access the relay.

Ok, for those of us with a 2007 a8 USA spec, you'll find the relay under the passenger carpet. You need to remove the plastic kick panel and pry the carpet up, beneath it you'll find a hard foam protection and beneath that, the relay. The relay has 373 printed on top. I saw no fuse..

I just installed the new relay from Napa auto ECHar294. The relay cost $19.99, kinda expensive for a relay, I wonder what audi would have charged?
The relay seems to have fixed the problem and I now have full range lift, comfort, automatic, and dynamic. Knock wood I hope this means no compressor purchase in the near future.

Yeah it went back to not moving... I need to search for the fuse to ensure it's not blown. It appears the compressor may be the culprit after all... Sucks

Ok after 2hrs a new compressor is installed, nothing to it. It was purchased via eBay for $550 I'll attempt to repair the broken unit just for giggles. The car is just like new now. Anyone with patience and a set of metric hand tools can accomplish this job. If anyone is feeling uneasy about the process feel free to email me and I'll walk you through it.

The newest in my saga is that now the car doesn't move up and down again. I have no suspension warning lights. The compressor pump is working but I get no movement like I did before. I read on a different forum that the valves in the valve block can freeze. Their suggestion was to put a few drops of air tool oil in the intake/exhaust tube. With that complete, I have yet to see any improvement. Perhaps I need a few more miles before the valves break loose. I'll keep updating as it develops.

Is there anything in VCDS scan? Is it cold enough to freeze the valve block (water in it)? If your old compressor was badly broken could it be that some particles are now in the system?
