20k miles and brake squeaking....
My car has 20k miles now and it's calling for Service!
brake is also squeaking, is it time to change the rotors and pads?
Any recommendation on aftermarket or use OEM?

Re: 20k miles and brake squeaking....
I'm at 24,000 miles and I've had the brake squeaking for a little while. Had it in the shop and Audi would not replace the pads, but rather told me they "clean them up". Don't know what that means.
My squeaking only occurs at slow speeds like stopping at a light or pulling into a driveway. Post your ultimate solution once you get it fixed please.

If they checked the pads and rotors and are still in "tolerance", they won't replace under warranty
/ Free MA, on the '04D3, however, Audi will (should) replace them at the last scheduled MA before free MA period is up at 50K/36 Months.
My squeeling started at about 25K and is only at very slow coasting brakes, like in a parking deck, etc. It's a nuisance, but assume it's because of the hardness of the pads for durability reasons.

Brake Clean
Go and get brake clean from any auto parts store. You must take off your wheels cause it will strip the clear coat (I repeat, IT WILL STRIP OFF YOUR CLEAR COAT). Just spray it all over the brakes and watch the brake dust drip off. It may still squeal a little aftewards, but a few hard 60-0 stops will get rid of it. My .02
